Viña Gómez Nubes de Altura "Blanco fermentado en barrica" is born under the sky of the Güímar Valley. This wine is made with 100% Listán Blanco de Canarias grapes grown at an altitude of 1,400 metres above sea level on our Las Dehesas estate.
WINEMAKING
The grapes undergo a pre-fermentative maceration and then start the alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The fermentation is finished in 225l French oak barrels. After this process, the wine remains on its own lees and is homogenised using the batonage method until the winemaker, through tasting, determines its optimum bottling point and it is released for sale.
TASTING NOTES
Visual phase: Bright, straw yellow colour with golden notes.
Smelling phase: In nose we have a fresh wine with light fruity and herbaceous notes typical of Listán Blanco. All this combined with toasted and vanilla notes from the French oak barrels.
Tasting phase: It is fresh, with good acidity and persistence given by its ageing on lees. These characteristics make it a wine with a fairly complex and very pleasant mouthfeel.
